Contracting Practices
Introduction
The second report in the series examining the drivers identified in the initial modelling (Phase I, Project control) looked at the impact of contracting practices on successful project delivery. Through examining practical evidence a Gold standard for contracting has been developed along the same lines as for Project Control. In addition to this work the NAO worked with IBM consultants to develop a toolkit to assist in the development of appropriate contracting strategies. The work done to date on this can be viewed under the ‘Contracting Strategy Toolkit’ tab.
